So what I'm holding here is gonna measure your breathing.

I'm a good breather.

Arms up.

Lift this arm for me here Uh, argh, it's scary.

Let me just tighten that up a little bit.

Yeah, tighten that up a little bit.

Aw shit.

(clanking metal)

(switches clicking)

[Interviewer] Is your name Cameron Jibril Thomas?

It's Thomaz, but yeah.

[Interviewer] Do you go by the name Wiz Khalifa?

Sure do.

[Interviewer] Are you about to take a polygraph exam?

Do I have to say yes?

Can I say exactly?

(laughs)

[Interviewer] So you nervous about this interview?

Yes.

[Interviewer] Really?

Yeah.

[Interviewer] You seem pretty calm.

I'm good at that.

(needle scraping)

[Interviewer] So we're going to start

by talking about weed.

I love weed.

[Interviewer] Is that a lie?

That was truthful.

Phew.

[Interviewer] Are you high right now?

Yes, yes I'm high.

(laughing)

[Interviewer] Did you just smoke?

Yeah, on the way over here.

Damn, I'm telling too much of the truth,

I'm like snitching on myself.

(laughs loudly)

[Interviewer] Do you have any on you right now?

No.

[Interviewer] Lisa?

[Lisa] No, he's good, he's clean.

[Interviewer] Do you smoke every day?

Yes.

[Interviewer] Multiple times a day?

Hella.

[Interviewer] Right when you wake up?

Yeah, absolutely.

[Interviewer] Before you go to bed?

Yes sir.

[Interviewer] In the middle of the night?

For sure.

[Interviewer] In the middle, of the night?

Sometimes.

[Interviewer] I read in an interview

that you spend 10k a month on weed.

Mm-hmm.

[Interviewer] Is that still true?

It's probably more now, yeah.

Shit.

[Interviewer] Up next, music.

Is there a song by another artist that you wish you made?

Let me think.

Nah, nope.

[Interviewer] Do you think that mumble rap

is a good direction for hip hop?

Yeah.

[Interviewer] Would you say that Biggie

is a better rapper than Tupac?

Yeah, Mm-hmm.

[Interviewer] Why's that?

I feel like Pac's flicking me off for saying that.

(laughs)

Fuck you.

Biggie was a better lyricist, Pac was real life,

liked to say stuff that people had been through

and Biggie, he could create a story.

Both are a great art form, but I respect

the lyricism of Biggie, for sure, yeah.

[Interviewer] Do you enjoy listening to your own music?

Yes.

[Interviewer] So with Rolling Paper Two coming out,

did you draw a lot of inspiration from the original?

Hmm.

Yeah, yes.

[Interviewer] Will this album be

as good as Rolling Paper?

It'll be better, yeah.

[Interviewer] Straight up?

It's my best project ever.

(laughs)

Yeah, my hair looks good in that picture.

[Interviewer] Let's move on to collaborators.

Is Snoop Dogg your best friend?

Yes.

[Interviewer] Who smokes more, you or Snoop Dogg?

Me.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] What about you or Seth Rogen?

Me, yeah, what's up Seth?

[Interviewer] Were you on the Eric Andre Show?

Yes.

[Interviewer] You seemed very calm on the show,

despite the insanity.

It was a crazy experience.

[Interviewer] At any point, were you actually freaked out?

Yeah, when the dude came to order my lunch

and he had his dick out, yeah.

[Interviewer] So that show isn't fake?

Dude had his dick out.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Okay.

Were you on Clueless Gamer with this man?

Oh yeah, that's when I was playing that one game.

He looks fried in that picture.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Did he actually smoke with you?

I don't wanna give out nobody's business.

[Interviewer] Okay.

And that's the truth, that I don't wanna

give out anybody's business.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] When you played Mateo on American Dad...

Okay.

[Interviewer] Did you audition for that?

They just had me do a reading for it,

like three or four times, yeah, yup.

[Interviewer] Is there another cartoon

you'd like to be on?

I was on Bojack Horseman.

That's one of my favorite cartoons, I was on there,

and I wanted to be on Teen Titans Go!

And I want to be on Rick and Morty, yeah.

[Interviewer] Me too.

See, same gang.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Was it your idea to collaborate

with Miley Cyrus?

It was actually her idea, yeah.

Miley, I can say out loud, she smokes pot

without getting in trouble.

[Interviewer] Up next, we'll talk about philosophy.

Do you believe that we have free will?

No.

[Interviewer] Why not?

Because a lot of the stuff that you wanna do

for yourself you get in trouble for,

or slowly but surely throughout life they try to teach

you that that's not what you're supposed to do

and you're supposed to do what people around you

think you're supposed to do, like expectations,

and that takes away from free will.

[Interviewer] Do you believe that we have a soul?

No, because a soul is a thing.

You can identify a soul, we're just this thing.

You know what I'm saying?

To put a name on it and call it a soul,

you need a visual like a ghost or something like that,

and I don't believe in that, I just believe like energies

and things like that.

[Interviewer] Do you think that love is just a feeling?

No, I don't think that, 'cause it's like, I feel like love

is like a living thing, it doesn't breathe,

but there's so much that you can love,

and there's so much that you can get love from

that it can't just be a feeling.

And, everybody doesn't feel it, you know what I mean?

So, if it was a feeling, like you get punched in the face,

you feel that, so love is bigger

than just something that you feel, yeah.

[Interviewer] Do you think it's more than just chemicals?

I think it's like an equation that...

(laughs)

nobody has figured out that this plus this equals love,

but it exists.

[Interviewer] Is it now, now?

Is now, now?

No, it was now just then.

[Interviewer] Is it ever not now?

When it's later.

'Cause you need, Yo, I want this right now.

No, you get it later, and then that'll be now,

but it's later.

(laughs loudly)

Yeah.

[Interviewer] Let's go back, to weed.

Is there such a thing as being too high?

Too hot, as in temperature?

[Interviewer] Too high.

Oh, too high.

That dude look like he's enjoying his life right now.

I don't think there's such thing, no, no, no.

[Interviewer] Okay.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] What's worse, being too drunk or too high?

Too drunk.

[Interviewer] Why's that?

Drinking is hard to come back from

and it effects your body.

Stoned is the way to go.

[Interviewer] Have you ever smoked weed

with Willie Nelson?

Ugh, no.

[Interviewer] What about with these guys,

Cheech and Chong

Yes.

[Interviewer] Really? Mm-hmm.

[Interviewer] When was that?

I was too stoned to remember.

(laughs loudly)

[Interviewer] The last category, essentials.

Have you ever been on Reddit?

Hmm-mm.

[Interviewer] Do you manage your own

social media accounts?

Mm-hmm.

[Interviewer] So you do your own posting?

Yes.

[Interviewer] Do you ever just eat

a whole tub of ice cream in one go?

Nah, I don't like sweet shit.

[Interviewer] Is there anything you do binge?

Alcohol.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] But not like, Oreos?

Nah.

[Interviewer] Do you know how many tattoos you have?

Hmm-mm.

[Interviewer] Do you have a favorite tattoo?

Yeah, my mom's name and my little sister's name.

[Interviewer] Can I see them?

My mom is Peachie, on the back of my arm.

My little sister right here.

I got my brother's face tattooed on me, too, as well,

it's a newer one so, I be forgetting that I got that,

but that's another favorite, too.

[Interviewer] Do you play video games?

Yeah.

[Interviewer] Are you into Fortnite?

Nah, I like to watch people play though.

Only reason I didn't play though,

is 'cause I'm gonna get addicted and I won't be doing shit

but playing Fortnite.

You guys don't wanna see that version of me.

You guys wanna see me out being productive,

rapping, taking care of my kid, not playing Fortnite.

[Interviewer] Is Wiz short for wizard?

No, I wish, that dude looks very wise.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Is Wiz short for anything?

It's just like, I was always good

with technology and shit, so people call me a wiz,

'cause I'm smart, young Wiz.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Do you do martial arts?

Yes sir, that's a nice side kick, wow.

[Interviewer] Have you ever been

in a real sparring match?

Yeah, plenty of them.

[Interviewer] Did you win?

You don't really win when you spar,

you kinda learn.

I got my ass kicked a couple times for sure, yeah.

[Interviewer] Are you part of the Illuminati?

Oh shit, yeah.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Is that really the truth?

Nah.

(laughs)

[Interviewer] Final question.

At any point in this interview, did you lie

and we didn't catch you?

Well I don't know if you caught me, but I told

some non-truths though.

So do I get out of jail?

You're not in jail.

Oh, okay, thank God.

(laughs)

(metal clanging)
