One week after the end of the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted doing some charitable work much closer to home. On Saturday, the duke and duchess were photographed at a fundraiser for the charity One805, which supports first responders in Santa Barbara, where Meghan and Harry have lived for three years.

The charity was founded in 2018, after a devastating mudslide in Montecito killed 23 residents, and raises funds to provide equipment and counseling to the areas’ police and fire departments. The event took place at the home of Yellowstone actor Kevin Costner, who is an ambassador for One805. The charity shared footage to its Instagram account that showed Harry and Meghan presenting Costner with a Heart of the Community Award onstage. Though the charity’s website said that the event was co-hosted by Christine Baumgartner, whose divorce from the actor was settled last week, People reports that she wasn’t seen in photos from the fundraiser.

Meghan wore a black-and-white tweed Carolina Herrera poncho and Manolo Blahnik pumps to the event, which featured a headline performance by Maroon5. Also present at the fundraiser were a few of Meghan and Harry’s high profile Montecito neighbors, including Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and Portia de Rossi. One attendee filmed a video that showed Oprah arm-in-arm with first responder Sam Dudley and his service dog Rhonda as she introduced him on stage.

Meghan and Harry moved to Montecito in July 2020, six months after announcing their decision to step back from their royal roles. They purchased a sprawling estate for $14.65 million, where they now live with son Archie, 4, and daughter Lilibet, 2. Though interview scenes for their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan were filmed on another property, the six-episode program did feature footage that showed the couple inside their home and showing off their chicken coop on the property.
